Welcome to FlashThreads ("we," "us," "our"), an application from MyrivicsIQ. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use FlashThreads via our Android mobile application and related services (the "Application").

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the Application.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect via the Application depends on the features you use, and includes:

A. Personal Data You Provide to Us

We collect information you voluntarily provide when you register an account, create decks and flashcards, use AI features, or contact us. This may include:

• Account information: Your name, email address, and other registration details.
• Profile information: Display name and preferences you set in the Application.
• User content: Deck titles, descriptions, flashcard questions and answers, imported document content you choose to process, review history, streaks, and mastery statistics.
• Payment-related information: When you upgrade to Spark, payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive transaction identifiers (such as order ID and payment ID) and plan details; we do not store your full card or UPI credentials on our servers.

If you sign up using email and password, authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication. We do not store your password in plaintext.

B. Data Collected Automatically

When you use the Application, we may automatically collect certain information, including:

• Usage data: Features you use, decks you review, AI generation counts, and general interaction with the Application.
• Device data: Device model, operating system version, and similar technical identifiers.
• Log data: Timestamps, diagnostic information, and crash reports where available.
• Push notification tokens: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens to deliver optional review nudges.

FlashThreads does not display third-party advertisements in the Application.

C. Information from Third-Party Services

We use third-party services for core functionality. Third parties may also collect information as described in their policies:

• Firebase Authentication: If you sign in with Google, we receive profile information permitted by that provider and your privacy settings.
• Firebase Firestore & Storage: Your decks, cards, and generated cover images are stored using these services.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging: Device tokens for push notifications.
• Google Gemini (Firebase AI): Text you submit for AI deck generation, refinement, or document import is processed to generate flashcard content.
• Razorpay: Payment processing for Spark subscriptions.
• Resend: Transactional email (welcome, password reset, Spark invoice delivery) when enabled.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Provide, operate, and maintain the Application (decks, review, sync, AI generation).
• Process Spark subscription payments and deliver invoices.
• Send optional push nudges and transactional emails.
• Monitor usage and improve the Application.
• Detect fraud and protect security (e.g. Firebase App Check).
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in these situations:

• Service providers: Vendors who perform services for us (Firebase/Google Cloud, Razorpay, Resend, Google AI).
• Legal reasons: When required by law or valid requests by public authorities.
• Protection: To protect the rights, property, or safety of MyrivicsIQ, our users, or others.

Your deck content is private to your account and is not shared with other users unless you explicitly choose to share it outside the Application.

4. Data Region, Storage and Security

Data region: FlashThreads operates on a single data region. Account data, decks, flashcards, usage records, invoices, and related Application data are stored and processed primarily in Google Cloud / Firebase facilities in India (Asia South 1 — Mumbai, asia-south1), using Google Firebase and related cloud services. We do not currently offer a choice of alternate data residencies (for example, separate EU-only or US-only Firebase projects) inside the Application.

Some subprocessors may process limited data in other locations as part of providing their services (for example, email delivery or payment processing). By using the Application, you understand that such processing may occur as described in this Policy and in those providers' policies.

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information. However, no electronic transmission or storage method is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your Data Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information. If you are in India, these rights may be available to you as a Data Principal under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA 2023). Users in other jurisdictions may have rights under applicable local law (for example, access or erasure).

• Access and update: Review and update account information in Settings.
• Access / portability requests: Contact us at contactus@myrivicsiq.com to request a copy of personal data we hold about you, where required by applicable law.
• Account deletion: Delete your account from Settings. We will take steps to delete your personal information, though some data may be retained in anonymized form or as required by law (e.g. payment records).
• Push notifications: Disable push nudges in Settings.

Where applicable, you may also have the right to withdraw consent, request correction or erasure, grievance redressal, and nomination under the DPDPA 2023.

6. Children's Privacy

FlashThreads is intended for general learning and professional use. If you are under 18, you may only use the Application with the express consent of your parent or lawful guardian.

If you believe a user under 18 has provided personal data without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will take steps to address the request, including deletion where applicable.

7. Third-Party Links and Services

The Application may link to third-party services not operated by us. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Google Firebase and related services are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Razorpay is governed by Razorpay's Privacy Policy.

8. AI-Generated Content

Content within FlashThreads (such as flashcard questions, answers, and deck descriptions) may be generated or refined using artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy, MyrivicsIQ does not guarantee that AI-generated content is free from errors. Content is provided for learning purposes only.

When you use AI features, we process the text you submit to generate responses. Do not include sensitive personal information (passwords, financial details, government IDs, health data) in prompts.

We may use aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified usage data to improve the Application. We do not use your personal identity (such as your name or email) to train third-party foundation models.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new Privacy Policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
